Alcohol related problems
Concerns any problems resulting from drinking alcohol; the three factors important in the therapeutic process are: consumption, the consequences of drinking, and the degree of the dependence. Any intervention requires motivation from the client’s part. My therapy is focused on supporting and motivating the client. Will, motivation and a creative way of working together will enable the client to see all the positive side of living an alcohol free life, to develop his inner resources, to build up achievable aims.
I have a postgraduate degree in addiction counseling (including food addiction), and I have been working with alcohol addicts and with their families and children. I wrote my dissertation around co-dependency in alcoholism, focusing on how the family of the alcoholic (especially the wife or the partner) in order to make life function, becomes co-dependent, which means (unwillingly) supports the cycle of dependence.
