Do you struggle with food or drink addictions?
Alcohol related problems
Drinking, or consuming alcohol, is not always the core issue. It represents an attempt to gain control over feelings which otherwise would feel unmanageable.
The three factors we address in the therapeutic process are: consumption, the consequences of drinking, and the degree of the dependence.
Any intervention requires motivation from the client’s part.
Eating problems
Food, or overeating, are not always the core issues; they can represent a replacement, an attempt to gain control over feelings which otherwise would feel unmanageable.
How I can help
My therapy is focused on supporting and motivating the client. We aim to enable the client to see all the positive sides of living an alcohol-free life, to develop his/her inner resources, and to build up achievable aims.
I am experienced in this area, I have a postgraduate degree in addiction counseling and I have been working with alcohol addicts and with their families and children.
